Towel Pillows!
I have been getting
into making pillows again lately and lets just say we are practically choking
on pillows at night lol. I like to wash any fabrics I buy first but this often causes
fraying but its not a huge deal as I cut off the fray parts and no one is the
wiser but anyone can skip washing if they like. The upside to using towels is
they don’t fray off the bat when washed and they are a tad more durable.
So I have done two towel
pillows so far and this is how I made them. So how ever the design is and the
way you want lay it where the outside is facing in so your seeing the inside of
the pillow. I used green string for my hope pillow and white for my sandy feet
pillow and you just sew along the edge a few inches in all the way around but making
sure to leave a gap. You then flip it right side out through the gap and using your finger or something else like a pencil or something to push the corners out so they are crisp and defined. Using my poly-fil
stuffing I stuffed each to the way I liked, the hope one is firmer than the sandy
feet one so eventually I may have to re-stuff the sandy feet one. Then I just
sewed up the gap and that’s it. Fun, easy, cheap pillows that are as diverse as
you are!
