Spring 2020 Succulent Wreath!
This is one of my favorite and best wreaths I have made to date so far.
Taking various shaped and similar colored fake succulents I played around with where I wanted them to be on the moss before I made a small cut in the sheet of moss and stuck then through and hot glued them on the backside of the Wreath form. The small gap between the succulents I took some ceramic mushrooms from Dollar Tree and hot glued them to the moss. The ceramic mushrooms stayed pretty good but after a while I did lose one of the mushrooms after it fell off and hit the concrete when hanging on our door.
Next, I attached two birds one pink and one green to the nautical rope. They had clips on the bottom so I clipped them through the rope and used a tiny bit of hot glue on the back side to make them stay in place. Lastly, I took some wood chunks I got from Dollar Tree and taking a fine marker I wrote A, C and a heart with an arrow through it on the top of the wood chunks and decorated them a bit more before hot gluing them to the nautical rope. The A is for Anthony, my husband, and C for me Cassidy!
I have to say this was a really fun Wreath to do that I absolutely love. The colors and style just made this look so cool to me. The further neat thing is it can be adapted to fit your style and color scheme quite easily given there are so many different colors and variety of nautical rope, succulents and add-ons. After a few months on my door however I lost some moss and the ceramic mushrooms, and it had to come down, but it can be easily fixed and reused.
