Yellow Rose Pillow!
I made this Yellow Rose pillow for my mother a few years ago in early 2019 I believe. It is actually pretty simple to make. Most of my pillows I do a rectangle or square shape but you can do just about any shape for a pillow using this design.
All it takes is 3 different kinds of fabric to make this pillow. The front is blue with yellow roses, my mom and dad’s favorites are yellow roses and my moms favorite color is yellow so that’s why I chose this. The back fabric was a darker yellow with a small design that’s not very noticeable unless you really look at it closely. Then lastly is the blue organza crystal fabric.
I laid the crystal organza fabric face down onto the yellow fabric and sewed along leaving a small gap where I turned it inside out to create a flawless edge and then sewed the small gap shut. Then I placed this side face to face with the blue and yellow rose so both right sides are facing and then sewed them together leaving a small gap. Now take whatever filling you like, foam beads, memory foam or polyester stuffing. I used regular polyester filling and stuffed it till I thought it felt the best and then I sewed the gap closed.
It's super simple and easy, the only thing is it can be a bit time consuming if hand sewing as I did at the time as I didn’t get a sewing machine until 2020 and I made this pillow in 2019. But with the machine this would be a breeze and be done pretty quickly.
