Wonderous Butterfly Garden!
This is a really
pretty item which I have on my living room table and I think can be made in so
many different ways. I saw a youtuber make some of these but with characters
for her kids, she made fairy light jars, but I went a bit differently with
mine.
I took some Mod Podge and brushed it on the fronts of some different sized pink paper butterflies and placed them inside a round fishbowl against the glass. Once dry to create a glossy look I took mod podge and spread it all over the outside of the fishbowl and then taking iridescent glitter I poured it all over the outside. I added a pink rose LED color changing light within and loved it very much but I wanted a fairy garden look so I went even further with this design.
I decorated a round mirror to place the fishbowl on. I hot glued Spanish moss and reindeer moss to the mirror at the edges leaving the center for the bowl. I then painted a few river rocks I had left over from a different project and hot glued them to the moss. Next I played around placing cherry blossom flowers, lavender sprigs and yellow sprigs to the sides of the moss but in a way that seemed natural. Lastly, I placed the bowl in the center of the mirror base.
This is a simple design and is easy to make and can be done in so many different ways. Most fairy light jars have dark designs to be a silhouette but here I showed where it can be visible and still be very, very pretty and unique.
